In today's edition of "Read My Stuff," we have a conversation with Alec Baldwin at a party for Tina Brown (Tina to hubby: "Oooh, Harry, have you met Elizabeth Spiers? She does this snarky little website she thinks no one reads.") in which Baldwin says he wants to be gay but isn't into the whole "sex-with-men" part.
We also have a short piece on ex-NYT magazine editor and Kennedy biographer Ed Klein, which was fun. (You know you're getting somewhere when the subject angrily demands to know which editor assigned you the piece.) The irony here is that I'm probably the only person in New York who doesn't give a shit about the Kennedys.
"We?" We are now referring to ourselves in the first person plural? Would that be the editorial or royal "we"?
Congrats, btw, on the hyperlink on your name, even if your archive only has one story in it so far. author_spiers. Fancy. We're impressed.
BTW, you have a glitch w/ your comments field. It doesn't remember my name, despite my selecting "yes" every time. (Unless you're doing that on purpose for me.) I think I may have used more than one email address over time. We had a similar problem at MarketingWonk, but we sorted it out. I'll ask what the problem was.

Posted by: Dr. Manhattan at September 15, 2003 05:29 PMi don't give a fuck about the kennedys either! that makes three of us.
did tina really say that? that's fab.
I give a fuck about the Kennedys, but I wouldn't let one drive, fly or pilot me anywhere.
Skiing is out too, I suppose.
In short, I'm cool with the Kennedys as long as they're stationary.
And not babysitting for me. Or looking after my cash.
Come to think of it, these people are a mess.
It's like that Alien sequel where they made a bunch of test clones that were subhuman failures before getting one that looked enough like Sigourney Weaver to let walk around, only with the Kennedys, Iggy Pop is the good one. The rest of them are barely surviving humanish debris wailing on their lab tables and-
You know, I originally came in here to just sarcasticaly say "Well, I give a fuck".
