Given that, maybe you should just assume that at least half of what is said in the interview was said in jest. Or all of it, really.

Incidentally, the bit about Panama City was originally a poem entitled "Ode du Panama City." It went like this:

Panama City!
Where the overfried sea bass is all you can eat
And every strip bar sits next to a Christian retreat
